Thanksgiving vacation is over. My family visited relatives for the weekend and I stayed home and played Half Life 2, and fought a zobie, an allen, a robbot, a heavy, a spi, and a medick, and I won them at fighting guns and won the game. Just kidding! I just spent my time reviewing albums, eating, masturbating, watching John Stossel videos, and sleeping. Anyway, it's another Tuesday and that means another Bandcamp Roundup!
Katechon
First up is Katechon with a brand of aural nastiness that can best be called blackened death crust. Their assault is fast and hard; it consists of only three songs clocking in at a little over eight minutes. Though it's short, it's an amazing experience.

Monomakh
Next is Monomakh, a much different beast. Whereas Katechon was fast and hit like a truck, Monomakh is slow and crushing, as though you were trapped in a trash compactor. They play death metal that borrows a great deal from both black metal and sludge, and when combined, it creates an experience that is both intense and suffocating.

Bitwa
I've saved my favorite one for last. Bitwa is a dark and mysterious lo-fi black metal band led by a man who takes his Slavic heritage very seriously. Their Reverb Nation page says they sound like Moontower, Arkona (the Polish black metal band), Thunderbolt, and Graveland, but their riffs remind me of Branikald and their guitar tone reminds me of Muknal and other similar bands. If you can get past the lo-fi production, you will bear witness to some awesome music. They only have one song up on their Bandcamp page right now, but I'm hoping they'll release some more stuff soon.
