Bandcamp Roundup Vol. 13

There's not much happening on the metal front, so I'm gonna share with you a whole bunch of ambient and dark ambient instead.

Virgin Blood

Virgin Blood hail from Portland and play minimalistic yet peaceful ambient consisting of simple keyboards and warbling sound effects combined with ghostly female vocals that are drenched in reverb. The great thing about this is that it can be interpreted in many ways. You can't tell whether some songs are dark or joyous.

Kalkh-In(joy) Erode

Strange name aside, Kalkh-In(joy) Erode play sorrowful dark ambient with slow clean guitars and depressed clean vocals. Their music brings to mind the emptiness and loneliness of deep space, like a brown dwarf drifting aimlessly through the void.

Same Light

Finally we have Same Light from Rhode Island. Their ambient is a perfect reflection of the solitude and serenity one feel while walking through the forests of New England.
