Bandcamp Roundup Vol. 14

My entire family came down with the flu last week and I had to take care of them. They're better now. Unfortunately, there's not much happening on Bandcamp, so I'm just gonna pick things at random.

Matthew Barlow

Matthew Barlow is an ambient artist from North Carolina. His songs create a landscape of strange intrigue. The colors swirl in the air and constantly change dimensions while the shadows bend and curve of their own volition. The sounds are both airy and throbbing and have a powerful hypnotic quality to them.

Cosmophony

Cosmophony is a black metal band from England, and although this demo starts off slow, the music on here is melodic and full of energy. They play so many great Norway-flavor riffs and the clean production actually helps reinforce the vibrant feel of the music. The Emperor influence is profound; they even include some clean vocals at one point.

Moloch

Moloch is now on Bandcamp! Even better, the downloads are available on a name-your-price basis! I've never listened to Moloch's work before this, but from what I can hear, they play ambient black metal that reflects the chilling solitude of the Ukrainian winter.
