Shortly after the fall of communism, death metal bands were popping up all over Poland. Blasphemous Cremation was one of those bands. They formed in 1992, released one demo a year later, and broke up shortly thereafter.
After an odd acoustic guitar intro, we get into the death metal, and the production is much worse than it was on the intro. On the intro, the acoustic guitars sounded so clear, but the death metal sounds so cloudy, which makes me think this was recorded during a different session. The drums mainly play blasts with a few fill thrown in, but due to the production, I can hardly hear them. Not only that, but I can hardly hear the guitars, but from what I've been able to tell, they mainly play your stock death metal riffs with a few melodic parts popping up at random intervals. The solos are pretty well-played and have a great evil sound to them, but again, the production muffles them. The growls are rather beastly and are the only part of the demo I can make out with perfect clarity. They have a Florida vibe to them. Due to the production, the bass rarely shows up, but there are certain parts where it does show up and gives the music a slow, plodding feel.
This demo would have been a lot better if it had better production. Then again, this was one of Poland's first death metal demos, so something like this can be forgiven. But still, I wish the production was better.
