Deathcircle – In These Depths Of Madness We Proclaim Thy Name

Deathcircle is a mysterious raw black metal band composed of two individuals. One of them is from The Netherlands, the other is from Bosnia. I was amazed because you don't usually find a lot of metal coming out of Bosnia, as that country tends to be on the poor side. I'm also amazed by how awesome the music is.

These guys managed to pack a lot into just one song. The production has this cloudy, suffocating, Xasthur-like feel to it. The vocals are also quite similar to Xasthur. They sound like the angry, echoing howls of a poltergeist. The drums are slow and methodical, like a descent into hell. The guitars are like a miasma, sucking the life out of you with every riffs. Lurking behind it all are the ambient keyboards that further reinforce the miserable atmosphere.

Despite being only one song long, this was a pretty great demo. Highly recommended for people who enjoy dark, slow, foreboding black metal.
