Vomikaust is a black metal band from Jacksonville, Florida that has so far released two demos, a single, and an EP. Let me tell you, these guys mean business.
This EP is fast, uncompromising black metal with a thrash metal vibe. The drums unleash an endless wave of ravaging blast beats and infernal fills. The guitars run the gamut from black metal tremolo riffs to death metal chugs to thrash metal rhythms. The rasps are extremely angry and ooze Bathory worship. There are even these times where he unleashes these high-pitched King Diamond screams. Even a cold-blooded killer needs to have some fun.
The only part I didn't like was the Von cover at the end. Don't get me wrong, their performance is amazing, but since Von always sucked, Vomikaust is essentially polishing a turd. Other than that, Morbid Way to Suffer is a fantastic display of blackened thrash fury. Shred away, you crazy sons of bitches!
