I couldn't find much information about these guys. All I know is that they were a death metal band from Florida that released only one demo called Till Death Do We Part in 1993 before disbanding. I also know that two of the members were formerly of Demogoth.
Since this is a demo, the production ain't the best, what with it being muffled and all, but I can still hear everything quite well, especially the bass. The production maybe primitive, but the musicianship is stellar. The drummer performs lots of vigorous blasts and intricate fills. I especially like those times when he unleashes that rapid double bass. It sounds like the churning of a lava pit. As I said before, the bass can be heard quite well and play riffs that help to add some extra muscle to the music. The growls are low and hoarse and sound like a mix of Morbid Angel and Obituary.
As is the case with most other old school death metal bands, the guitars are the best part. The chunky riffs sound like the sinister work of a bone saw, especially on “Eternal Beliefs”. There are also these times when the band throws in some clean guitars to add a bit of dissonance to the music. Not only do they play lots of kickass riffs, they also perform some wicked solos. The best one is on the title track. It takes up the entire song, the tone is infectious, and the structure is pure Testament worship. I wish modern death metal bands could end their albums in awesome ways like this.
When I pushed play, I thought I was going to hate this demo. Turns out I loved it. Bone Saw is a great one demo wonder, and if you're lucky enough to find it, be sure to give it a spin.
