Sex hurts; life is great. What a title. Anyway, Enuresis was a death metal band from Denmark that released two demo and a single before breaking up in 2003. I only managed to find this demo. One good thing I will say about it is that I love the sales pitch. “Featuring members of Detest and Idiosyncrasy!” Unfortunately, I can't find much else good to say.
First of all, the drums don't do much beyond simple mid-paced rhythms and “blasting until your arms fall off”. There's no variety to be found. They're stale, bland, and the double bass sounds like a faint rumbling. The guitars do their damnedest to be exciting, but to no avail. They're unable to hold my attention and all the riffs sound rehashed from other bands. Even the solo at the beginning of the demo sounds unexciting. As for the vocals, they sound like an extremely muffled growl. Again, they do nothing to grab my attention grab my attention. Not only that, but they're poorly produced, as they're extremely muffled. The muffling is nowhere near as bad as it is in other obscure death metal albums, I'll give them that.
Yeah, this demo is no good. The drums are boring, the guitars are boring, and the vocals are a murky mess. At least the title gives me a chuckle.
