It took quite a bit of digging, but I finally found some worthwhile metal on Bandcamp.
Enthauptung
These guys describe their music as "a dark and aggressive blend of misery and nostalgia". If you ask me, they sound similar to all those black metal bands from Cascadia. The production is cloudy and mystical, the drums sound like a rapid gallop of wild horses, the raspy screams sounds quite energetic, and the riffs exude quite a bit of melody.

Vaalt
Vaalt is a grisly, lo-fi doom/death band from the rather pleasant Canadian city of Calgary. Their music is slow and plodding, the production makes it sound like they recorded in a mausoleum, and the growls sound like the grumbling of the living dead. Sure, a few parts of their performance maybe sloppy, but in this case, that just adds to the experience.

Atma Weapon
Finally, we're gonna post something different. Atma Weapon is a progressive metal band from North Carolina, and they're named after a boss character and an equippable item from one of my all-time favorite games, Final Fantasy VI. These guys play a lot of sweet melodic riffs, and I hate to admit this, but I like their clean, power metal-type vocals. But above all else, I love the riffs. That's what matters to me.
