Bandcamp Roundup Vol. 37

Funeral In Heaven

Funeral In Heaven is a black metal band from, of all places, Sri Lanka. Guess what? They're awesome. They combine lots of elements from traditional black metal, thrash metal, ambient, and even depressive black metal to create an experience that is dark, morose, and enthralling. Some parts of their performance even remind me of Gris.

Privilege of Approval

Privilege of Approval come from Austria and they bring da riffs. I'm well aware that they combine melodic death metal with deathcore, but I don't care, because these guys sound great. The growls and screams remind me of Into Eternity, the drums are hard-hitting, the riffs are infectious, and the solos give me eargasms.

Eternal Rot

And now we finish things off with some old school death metal courtesy of Eternal Rot. It's slow, dirty, the growls sound like they're echoing out of a decrepit mausoleum, and the riffs sound like Black Sabbath if they decided to play death metal.
