ReverbNation Spotlight: Pandemonium

There are many bands named Pandemonium all over the world. There's Pandemonium everywhere. The most famous Pandemonium comes from Poland. The Pandemonium we're talking about today is a brutal death metal band from Indonesia. Let's check 'em out.

I must say, these guys are much better than many of the other bands I've heard from Bandung. I really enjoy the drums, even if their snare drum sounds like a hollow thud. (Most Indonesian brutal death metal snare drums sound like that.) They play lots of vigorous blast beats that hit harder than an elephant tusk to the groin. They also play plenty of complex fills to keep things exciting.

The vocals consist of a low-pitched raspy scream that reflect a deep sense of anger and frustration. Some people might say that these vocals aren't brutal enough, but I think they fit just fine. Best of all are the guitars. The Indonesians are great when it comes to the guitars and Pandemonium is no exception. They play lots of technical riffs, but they aren't so technical that they go into wankery territory. They also play a lot of fast and straightforward riffs that are a hallmark of the brutal death metal genre. They're excellent in both structure and performance.

Although they only formed two years ago, they're already producing great brutal death metal. I especially love the guitars. If they clean up the sound of the drums a bit then they'll probably go on to make something great.
