As you probably already know, my good friend Dan Grover has just launched an awesome new metal website called The Monolith that aims to create the best metal community on the entire internet. I was really excited, so I hit the sign up button. Unfortunately, I was greeted with this page. Apparently, you have to pay in order to become a member there, which is similar to what Something Awful does. In case you haven't noticed, I don't have any money, and this payment system will end up alienating people like me. Sure, I have a whole bunch of ads on my blog, but those ads only pay out if people click on them, and the people who visit my blog are not the kinds of people who click on ads. (Great, now it sounds like I'm e-begging.) I wish The Monolith the best, but as it stands now, I can't afford to become a member.
