Forsaken Grief was another in a long line of Swedish death metal bands that released only one demo before splitting up.
I must say, Forsaken Grief is certainly better than many of the other early Swedish death metal bands I've been listening to as of late. The bass rumbles loudly in the background, but not so loud that it drowns out the other instruments. The music they play is still your typical Swedish death metal, but they play it slightly better than their peers. The drummer displays some impressive cymbal work and can blast just fine. The vocals are pretty much what you'd expect from Swedish death metal, so there's no need for me to explain them. The guitars still follow the Swedish death metal formula. Again, no need for explanation.
There's really nothing about Forsaken Grief that makes them stand out from the faceless ocean of Swedish death metal bands except for one thing: their vocalist, Thomas Josefsson, later went on to join Evocation, a band I really like.
