Xaztur is famous for being the first British black metal band to wear corpse paint. But is their music good? That is the question.
After an unnecessarily long intro, we finally get to the music. The production is shit, as was most other black metal back in the day. It's all cloudy and the guitars sound like farts. The drums are only capable of pulling off simple blast beats with some cymbal crashes thrown in once in a while. The guitars play your typical black metal tremolo riffs, but they're played rather sloppily. The only good aspect of this demo would be the vocals. The rasps and screams are really violent and sort of have a Burzum influence to them.
To answer the question at the beginning of this review, no, their music isn't very good. Always be wary of bands who are well-known for things other than their music.
