Ehrgeizig is a black metal band from Connecticut and they are truly an enigma. They released only two demos and haven't released anything since. The only one I managed to obtain was a tiny two-song demo that is only 8 minutes long. There's not much to comment on, but I'll try my best.
Since this is black metal played live, the production is absolutely awful. The bass is absurdly loud and drowns out all the other instruments. Luckily, there were moments when the bass wasn't so loud and I got to hear the other instruments, and they were amazing. The drums were played with outstanding vigor, the guitars were both vicious and melodic, and the screams from the vocalist were just nasty, but in a good way.
If the bass didn't drown everything out, I would have been able to enjoy this. As it stands, I have no idea what to do with it.
