Bandcamp Roundup Vol. 12

Pronostic

We start with Pronostic, a death metal band from Montreal. I was drawn in by the cover, and the music is just as good. It's equal parts modern death metal and Symbolic-era Death. The guitar solos are soulful and invigorating, the bass is thick and complex, and the drums would make Gene Hoglan proud.

Only a Shadow Remains

Up next is Only a Shadow Remains. Their latest album, Premeditated, is a concept album about a female serial killer who stalks her victim, murders him, and finally disposes of the body. It was all recorded by one man while serving in the armed forces overseas. The music on this album is a great tribute to Swedish melodic death metal, with lots of great guitar work ranging from melodic tremolo riffs to crushing chugs. All profits made by this album will go to charity.

Uzbazur345

And now we will finish things off with something that is definitely not metal. Uzbazur345 is a dark ambient band from Tuscany, Italy. This guy's music reflects the beauty and serenity of the city's countryside. There's plenty more where this came from, so be sure to check it out.
