Brutal Dissection was a grindcore band from Turkey that formed in 1997, released two demos, then just disappeared. No one knows where they went, nor do I care, because these guys suck.
The production is okay. I can hear everything fine, although a bit muffled. Unfortunately, the music itself is pretty bad. The drums can only seem to play simple mid-paced rhythms correctly. Whenever he tries to play blast beats, they seem to start and stop at random times. There are even times when the blast beats slow down, as if he didn't have the energy to keep blasting. Also, the snare sounds really annoying, as though someone is rapidly slapping a cow's ass. The bass is surprisingly prominent. Unfortunately, it's badly played and it sounds annoying. It makes me wonder why they bothered to make the bass prominent at all.
The growls are laughable. They sound like two pigs humping. Also, why do I get the feeling that he used a pitch-shifter in order to get the sound he wanted? As for the guitars, they're only capable of pulling off the simplest of riffs. Despite this demo being only ten minutes long, it feels like it lasts forever because of how repetitive the riffs are. They just seem to drag on and on with almost no variety to be found.
This demo is boring and dreadful tripe. The bass is annoying, the snare is annoying, the growls are annoying, and the riffs make me want to die from boredom. The only compliment I can afford these guys is that they're not the worst thing I've ever heard. There are plenty of obscure extreme metal bands that are far worse than them.
