As Vampiric Shades and Belial Winds. That sure is a mouthful, isn't it? It's obvious why they never got that popular. But trust me when I say their music is better than their name implies.
For one thing, the guitars are more melodic and have a more upbeat feel than that of other black metal bands. They also eschew the terrifyingly fast tempos for a more mid-paced affair. He may not blast all that well, but he sure can play some great rhythms and fills. The vocals are your typical rasps and don't really do anything new, but they're performed alright. The guitars are definitely the best aspect of this demo. Brazil is well-known for producing great riffs, and these guys are no exception. The riffs are pretty catchy and have a tiny bit of NWOBHM influence to them. If there's only one complaint I can make about this demo, it would be that it's too long.
As Vampiric Shades and Belial Winds may have a silly and grammatically incorrect name, but their music is great. It's just a shame this is the only thing they released.
