After the vocals are finished for this EP, I am ending Cursed Altar. There is a certain sound that stuck with Cursed Altar and the sound I'm talking about is Black Metal. This started a black metal project and I have been trying to keep it going way after it's long overdue death. I know some people will be upset by this and some people won't... It's a personal decision of min that I feel is something I should have done earlier. I hope everyone at least listens to the new album when it's finished and can enjoy it. As far as another solo project goes, I'll be working on something soon as well as other projects. Thank you so much for your support over the 1 and a half years Cursed Altar has lived through. I hope the music helped you in any way possible, If not, I hope you have enjoyed the music. Thank you, everyone.
This is most unfortunate. I'm a huge fan of Cursed Altar, so this comes as quite a shock to me. The music he made was absolutely amazing. I recently went back and listened to The Darkest Place On Earth Is The Mind Of Man again and I'm still astounded by the level of power and emotion that courses through his music. I especially love the dissonant, melodic guitar. Few bands could every hope to express so much emotion through their music. It's sad to see the project end. All good things must come to an end, I suppose. Luckily, the man behind Cursed Altar has formed another band named Caal, and it's a completely different beast altogether. It's dirtier, it's meaner, it's more aggressive, and it has sort of a hardcore vibe to it. I love it and I hope to hear more of it.
R.I.P. Cursed Altar. You were all sorts of awesome.
